What is the minimum clock amplitude required at the XTALI and XTALO (for both 24MHz and 32.768kHz) when connected to a xtal ?
Hi @msloo
The XTALOSC includes a 24 MHz and 32 kHz oscillators.
The 24MHz crystal oscillator is the primary clock source for all the PLLs, and clock generation for the CPU and high-speed interfaces.
The 32KHz crystal oscillator is the primary clock source for the RTC as well as the low-speed clock source for CCM/SRC/GPC.
Please see Reference manual for details if you want to know Clocks system (Chapter 14/15) and Crystal Oscillator(Chapter 16).
Hi,
I can't find the amplitude/ Vpp specs for the clock from datasheet/reference manual.
Below is the waveform captured on both XTALI and XTALO on the 24MHz path.
XTALI is looks good as a sine wave. Any issue with the XTALO signal ?
It seems be workable. BTW, this board is RT1060 EVKB from NXP, or customized board?
Is there any issues from your side?
Hi,
The above measurement is captured from own designed board (not NXP EVB).
The board is working fine so far, am doing some hardware signal check and came about clock to the RT MCU.
Below is captured from NXP EVB. The signal shape is quite similar with above. Is there a Vpp specs for this?
Hi @msloo
We don't provide Vpp spec.
You can find RT1060 datasheet: https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/nxp/data-sheets/IMXRT1060IEC.pdf , and Y3 specs from BOM list of MIMXRT1060-EVKB-DESIGNFILE.
